LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS

Book and Lyrics by Howard Ashman                      Music by Alan Menken

Based on the film by Roger Corman, Screenplay by Charles Griffith

Originally produced by the WPA Theatre (Kyle Renick, Producing Director)

Originally produced at the Orpheum Theatre, New York City, by the WPA Theatre,
David Geffen, Cameron Mackintosh and the Shubert Organization

Told in the style of early 1960s rock and roll, doo-wop, and rhythm and blues, Little Shop of Horrors follows Seymour Krelborn, a down-and-out flower shop assistant who becomes an overnight sensation when he discovers an exotic plant with a mysterious craving for fresh blood. Soon "Audrey II" grows into an ill-tempered, foul-mouthed, R&B-singing carnivore who offers him fame and fortune in exchange for feeding its growing appetite — finally revealing itself to be an alien creature poised for global domination!

Charming, tuneful, and hilarious, with its tongue firmly planted in cheek, Little Shop of Horrors is one of the longest-running Off-Broadway shows of all time and never fails to entertain.

Parental discretion is advised for this production. Please see the content statement in the Event Details.
